AESA Student Government

AESA’s Student Government provides student leadership opportunities for our students. It is of vital importance students have leadership experiences to grow as a person, to learn how to effectively work with others, to learn how to compromise, be fair,and to prepare for the college application process. Many of the activities our students engage in stem from Student Government.

Ian Crocker, an Olympic gold medalist, who spent the day at AESA early in this school year as a guest of the Student Government’s “Make a Difference” Guest Speaker Series.

Students were thrilled when Ian pulled out his gold medals from his back jeans pocket and passed them around for everyone to hold. What an absolute inspiration Ian is for so many and an all round nice guy to boot!!

Dr. Franklin H. Bronson Director of the Reproductive Physiology Institute of the University of Texas at Austin is one of the world’s foremost experts in the area of reproductive physiology.

Dr. Bronson spent the afternoon with AESA students discussing various aspects of this field. Dr. Bronson is credited with 5000 plus discoveries based upon his scientific research that have contributed to the scientific and medical communities. For example, his research has been used in many medical advances including the latest methods to combat prostate cancer. Dr. Bronson also happens to be the father of Head of School, Barbara Garza.
